Lots of folks get confused how to “choose their photos.” It’s not confusing at all. You just have to decide which ones you like then follow the directions on the Digital Downloads Inquiry Form

This is another part folks find confusing because they don’t read the directions and just act like they can’t figure out how to choose photos. Most importantly, they don’t actually fill out or submit the form.

Without following the directions on the form or submitting the form, there is no way to actually download images…

So let’s make this really easy.

We’ll go step-by-step together…

If you have a mobile phone or a computer, you can actually choose the images from your Preview Gallery for Custom Books designs, Prints or Digital Downloads.

Why isn’t it easier? It is easy. It’s not hard.

But the good news is, choosing images is really simple - if you’ve ever used a computer or mobile phone before, you can figure this out!

DISCLAIMER: You are not going to read all this. You are going to get distracted and you’re not going to take the time. It would really be much easier if you just figured it out using the skills you already have. But if you don’t want to or can’t, go ahead and follow these 10 steps.

Here’s how it works…

STEP 1

Open your Preview Gallery…

Special Note: This is an example gallery. It’s not really your gallery because you are not actually in these photos…

But if you look at this gallery and you use your imagination, you will realize, “Oh, this is just like the gallery I already looked at because I saw photos I liked and I wondered how in the world I was ever going to decide which ones I want to keep. So I looked at my gallery again and then I made a decision…”

Do you see any pretty pictures you like?

Great. Make a decision: “I like this photo. I think it’s pretty. I would like to keep it.”

Okay, great…

STEP 2

CONTROL (CTRL) - Click / Right-Click / Long-Press the photo…

Click: “Save Image As”

STEP 3

Create a dedicated folder…

On your phone, computer or extra cardboard AMAZON box over in the corner, create a place (“Folder”) to store these magical digital files comprised of binary code…

STEP 4

Save the image…

The file name will automatically populate in the Save As window…

Now, magically, by the power of the Internet and computers that have been in existence since the 1960’s, your binary code file will be mysteriously placed into the folder you just created - NOT in the AMAZON box in the corner…

At the top of your screen, the little man inside your computer will tell you that he just did that for you.

It will actually be confirmed. You can see it. Actually. It’s really right there. Just look. The file you just saved in the folder you just created…

If you want to keep more than one photo - and I bet you do because they are pretty cool photos - then you should repeat these previous steps until all the photo files you want to download are in your new folder. . .

STEP 5

“Copy” the file names / images…

Now that the files are in your folder, you have to “copy” them…

And I don’t mean “XEROX.” That’s a brand - not a machine or a verb by the way.

To “copy” a digital file on a computer or mobile device, press CONTROL (CTRL) Click, Right-Click, Long-Press the file names - you can do it.

You’ve actually had a real-life, 9 to 5 job in the 21st Century so I know you can copy these file names if you really really try hard to apply all the skills you’ve used in the last quarter century to pay your bills, support your family and exist in modern society!

COPY……….

STEP 7

Paste the file names in the Form, a new Email or SMS Text Message…

If you need help learning how to “Paste” what you just copied, go back to school, they will teach you.

But if you are smart, you already know to press CONTROL (CTRL) “V” on a Mac or File | Paste on a PC. You can also right-click and I bet it gives you the option there too - wow!

This is so much fun how we’re learning computers together!

Now don’t forget, you need to include the Preview Gallery URL - that’s the Uniform Resource Locator used by every single website on the Internet to specify a “Web Page Address” on a website.

Have you seen these before?

Now, using the skills you’ve just learned, you can also Copy & Paste that unique URL address into the Form Field.

VOILA!

This allows me to click on that link and go directly to Your Preview Gallery so I can verify exactly who you are without any mistakes or miscommunications.

It’s incredible. It’s almost like this whole process is so easy to follow if you just followed the directions on the Form to begin with!

(ABOVE) is that form you already got the link for! You’ve seen this form because you actually clicked on this Step-By-Step Guide…

So it makes sense because it’s called: “Digital Downloads Inquiry”

That means that when you complete this form by following all the directions that are spelled out very very clearly right in the form that you read, you can submit the file names via the magic of the Internet so I know which images you actually want…

*These are just examples - don’t get confused!*

And you know what else you could do if you’re really really really smart???

You can take a PHOTO or SCREENGRAB of your Folder and actually just send that image to me via Email, SMS Text, telepathy or even osmosis…

Then you could have just skipped Steps 1-7 and saved so much time!

STEP 8

Invoice / Payment

Once I receive your Digital Downloads Inquiry Form, I will read it.

And once I’ve read your Form, I will know what you want - because I read your form.

But you have to submit the form! So many folks get confused by this part - they think I can just read minds!

It’s not confusing at all. JUST FILL-OUT & SUBMIT THE FORM.

And then, by magic, I will know what you’re thinking. It’s so cool. You follow the directions. You provide the information and BOOM! Now you’re ready for the final step…

Payment.

I will send you a Quote / Invoice. Have you seen one of these before? Maybe you have. I’m pretty sure you have.

You will read this invoice.

It will look something like this…

STEP 9

Actually Submitting Payment

Okay so here’s the really super duper cool part: There is this guy - his name is ELON MUSK

He’s a billionaire because he’s really really smart.

The second company he founded is actually still in operation today - it’s called PAYPAL.

The logo looks like this:

Now, the super duper cool thing about PayPal is that it allows you to magically buy things on the Internet.

Because within their SEC & FDIC-compliant ACH transfer protocols, they facilitate secure transactions with your financial institution. That’s also known as a “Bank.”

It’s incredible. Banks “hold” money.

Have you ever completed an “Online Purchase” before?

If not, this is your chance to discover a whole new world. . .

When you click the MAKE FINAL PAYMENT button on your computer or mobile device, it will magically link you to a new webpage called:

“Shoot Booking | Deposit | Payments”

On that page, you’ll see a PayPal logo with a Profile for Dan Smarg Photography. . .

Under that logo is another button that says:

PAY VIA PAYPAL

Note: If you pay via PayPal, I will add an additional 3% Processing Fee because PayPal is a greedy company and their business practices are barely legal much less copasetic.

The reason why is because they established a subsidiary company called Venmo that doesn’t charge a 3% fee. It simply processes the ACH Transaction with the same code-base, but a different brand.

So check it out: If you go on the Apple App Store also known as the “App Store” or “Google Play Store” on an Android phone, you too can download Venmo onto your phone!

And guess what? It’s the same as PayPal! It’s literally the same exact thing - just without the 3% fee!

Isn’t that wild? PayPal thinks it’s so clever, but if Elon was still running things over there, he would fire half the c-suite and make the whole company great again…

If you don’t want to pay the extra 3% Processing Fee, I highly recommend you install Venmo on your phone. And then you can click the PAY VIA VENMO button:

Now, if you go back to your invoice, you can verify the Final Amount Due.

That’s the number at the end of the Invoice… It says: “Final Amount Due.”

Go into your PayPal or Venmo App, click the “Pay Now” button, enter that monetary amount then………

Send it.

Poooooof! MAGIC! You did it. You actually paid for something on the Internet!

And guess what? I get notified when you did.

I really do. The Internet magically tells me the payment went through. It looks like this…

Now guess what?

I send you what you paid for.

You must be thinking: “Holy cow. This is just so cool - I never knew this would be so easy!”

STEP 10

Opening Your DropBox Link

Okay so now that you’ve paid, you’re wondering, “How do I actually get my photos?”

Do they magically appear on my phone? Will the screen-saver upload itself?

Nope. You still have one more step to go through. It’s called:

“DOWNLOADING”

Google is another multi-billion-dollar company. Maybe you’ve heard of it?

“How do I do that?!”

DropBox is another gazillion-dollar web-based company you may have heard of sometime in the 21st Century. Pretty much all businesses that exist on the plane of reality use it as their go-to secure FTP (File Transfer Protocol.)

Now don’t get confused again! It’s really really simple:

I will email or text you a “DROPBOX LINK.”

You will be able to see this link on your mobile phone in your SMS text-feed or on your computer in your email browser. That’s where the emails are kept…

You can click on this link - or press it if you’re on your phone.

This link opens - just like every other link you’ve ever pressed before in your adult life.

MAGIC.

When the private DropBox webpage loads, holy cow! It’s AMAZING!

Your photos - the ones you just learned how to choose and let me know about then paid to receive - they will be there; on the Internet!

Now you can download them to live IN YOUR COMPUTER.
